The University of Nebraska MFA in Writing has wildly exceeded my expectations. A traditional MFA program was not appealing to me, since taking two years away from my real like was not an option. Coming together with so many talented mentors and fellow students twice a year, while practicing and improving my writing at home has been an amazing experience.
Advice to Prospective Students:
Apply. Go. Don't look back. Even if you are primarily looking at full residency programs, consider the low-residency program at Nebraska, as it keeps you in the real world as you hone your craft.
