Review Title:

MFA's Best Kept Secret

Full Review of the Program:

I can't say enough positive things about McNeese's MFA program. It is truly a place that puts the emphasis on your writing. Because it's a 60 hour program, you pick up an M.A. along the way (something that comes in handy in later job searches). The workshops are thorough and critical but always supportive. McNeese truly has a wonderful, underappreciated program.

Advice to Prospective Students:

Apply for the program. Unlike most places, your transcripts, GRE, and other test scores do not carry much wait. All you have to do to apply is submit a writing sample. I applied on a whim when I found the school online, and it turned out to be a wonderful move for me to make.
