Great fellow students -- by far the best part of the program. Teachers are a mixed bag. Some are very good, some are terrible. Beyond talented and diverse classmates, the other plus of the program is the workload -- you write, shoot, edit, and work on a ton of films, which is definitely the best way to learn and improve. But... if you can get some friends together and do it on your own, you'll learn just as much, and you can save the ridiculous Columbia Film School price tag.
Advice to Prospective Students:
Save your money, or else attend film school in Los Angeles, where you can make contacts within the film industry, so that when you graduate, you're aren't left with a diploma, a ton of debt, and zero job prospects.
