Program Description

SGU School of Medicine is one of the most prestigious medical schools located in the Caribbean. Student may complete their first year either on the Grenada campus or at Northumbria University in Newcastle, England, as part of the Keith D.Taylor Global Scholars Program. All students complete their second year of study in Grenada. After completing the 2 year basic science curriculum, students do 2 years of clinical sciences in North America or the United Kingdom. Some of hospitals in the United States and the United Kingdom where SGU students may undergo their clinical training have been designated as clinical centers, providing at least 4 of the 5 core rotations, and allowing students to complete all of their clinical training at one site, if they so desire.
