Program Description

The Hunter College MFA in writing degree is one of the most affordable MFA programs in the country; in state tuition is approximately $5,000 per year and out of state tuition is approximately $9,000. Students attend a workshop each semester, as well as literature and craft seminars. Students are eligible to receive various fellowships, research assistantships, and internships which come with stipends ranging from $2000 to $5000. Students may also apply to teach introductory undergraduate creative writing courses in their second year.
