WRITING AT GOLDSMITHS
MA in Creative and Life Writing
1 year full-time or 2 years part-time

For committed writers who wish to explore and exploit their own possibilities as writers and to examine their own writing critically.

Work with a range of published creative writers who give individual tuition and lead specialised workshops. Maura Dooley, Susan Elderkin, Romesh Gunesekera, Pamela Johnson, Glyn Maxwell, Stephen Knight, Eva Salzman, Richard Skinner, Francis Spufford and Ardashir Vakil are among these.

Professor of Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths is Blake Morrison.

You should normally have a good degree in English literature or a related subject, together with evidence of ability in creative or life writing. Admission is by interview and the submission of a portfolio of writing (published or unpublished) which shows sufficient talent, commitment and potential.

The Department of English and Comparative Literature also offers an MPhil/PhD in Creative Writing, a BA in English with Creative Writing and a range of other programmes from BA to PhD.
